From my understanding, if you are in an accident and your car is considered totaled. You ahev the right to take anything out of the car that is aftermarket. ie radio, wheels, speaker, ECU. The downside is that you have to put stock back. So if you go get your stereo or ECU, you better have the stock ones with you to leave in the car. This is what I understand anyway, I could be wrong or slighlty off. Check with your insurence company, or their's (the people that hit you) for varification.
